I watched the sun set in Manhattan beach today.
It looked like a peaceful surrender, a bow, and a welcoming to the full moon all wrapped up in one.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
There is something so captivating about the full moon… Humans since the beginning of civilization have gathered together to honor it in ceremony. We blame strange happenings and mood swings on the full moon. Why?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The feminine Yin energy of the moon brings the realness, the rawness, the transformation. She forces us to go inward to learn the lessons… She is the flow. The love. The receiving and sharing.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
When the moon is full, the tides are at their highest due to its gravitational pull. Our bodies are made up of 60-70% water, and it’s said we are impacted by the tidal force as well. It’s so important to release during this time because your negative emotions are closer to the surface. And we all know how tough it can normally be to unearth them.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The sun’s masculinity is also powerful. It gives us determination, stability, and energy. Creation, manifestation, and life as we know it – all possible because of the sun and moon working harmoniously.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The sun is thinking, the moon is feeling. Once the sun goes down we become more introspective.
During sleep, we process the day and dreams enter our consciousness to give us messages, signs, suggestions, and insights.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
For example, this Yin energy is SO reflective that it will continue showing us the same nightmare (or variations of) until we fix the fear behind it.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is another reason we naturally sleep during the night, and not the day. Our dreams go inward and our body nurtures us. It makes repairs and balances.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Today, appreciate the beautiful Yin energy of the moon. Appreciate the connection we have to it as women. And lastly, appreciate all the humans you see and come into contact with. We all deserve love.
